After winning Best Actress at the 79th annual Oscars for The Queen, Helen Mirren has been asked to have tea with the real Queen of England. I can only imagine what the pair will chat about over their tea and crumppets. Cheers and congrats to Dame Helen!

Check out these pictures of Jenna Jameson at the 2007 Oscars. Am I the only one that thinks she needs to eat something and stay away from the tanning beds? What a drastic transformation from the last time I saw pictures of her. Jenna, do us a favor and put some meat back on those bones!

One of my favorite moments of the big night had to be when the modern dance troupe, Pilobolus, “ate” Ellen to reenact the Snakes On A Plane sence. Sure the Happy Feet penguins were adorable and the Little Miss Sunshine bus was impressive, but who doesn’t love a movie with a title that leaves so little to the imagination? I still can’t believe Samuel L. Jackson didn’t get a nomination for his role. [story]

Looks like Bjork’s infamous swan dress was an inspiration for the 79th annual red carpet spectacle.
Penelope Cruz is the best looking pink feather duster I’ve ever seen, but Kirsten Dunst looks like a she just stepped out of my grandma’s closet.

Even the World’s Sexiest Man needs some work

I don’t know if you watched Oprah’s first prime time Oscar special last night, but if you didn’t, I can go out on a limb and say that you didn’t miss much. If you didn’t see the commercials, she basically had celebrity friends interview eachother. Julia Roberts opted to conduct her interview with her Ocean’s Eleven and Twelve costar George Clooney in the comfort of his Los Angeles home; Nicole Kidman filmed her sit-down with longtime pal and recent wedding guest Russell Crowe at the Beverly Hills Hotel; and Jaime Foxx honed his reporting skills with his idol, Sidney Poitier.
As it was expected, celebs don’t ask other celebs interesting questions. After all, they are celebrities themselves and they know how big of a deal privacy is. I do have to say though, that Julia Roberts asked World’s Sexiest Man, George Clooney, a great question… What had been the last biggest change in his life?
His answer? “I had my eyes done. Can you tell? I think it’s important to look awake.”
Now, I don’t know why I’m so surprised about this. Statistics for male plastic surgery are sky rocketing, and getting a little nip or tuck isn’t that taboo anymore. In fact, I’d even say it’s en vogue. I’m just a little disappointed that my dream date George Clooney has given in. Generally, men get more handsome as they get older, and especially ones that are as naturally good looking as George Clooney. But hey, I guess it just proves that even the most attractive celebrities have a helping hand.
