According to TMZ, Jason Wahler, formerly of Laguna Beach, has been arrested for resisting a public officer. Apparently Wahler was hanging out Rumor’s Nightclub in North Carolina, when he was approached by the Alcohol Law Enforcement Division. The 20 year old claimed that he did not have any ID on him, but insisted that police could “check TMZ.com” to verify his identity.

Apparently the ‘ol “check an internet gossip website for verification of my identity” trick didn’t work, and he was taken to Pitt County Jail, where he decided to spend his few hours there screaming obsceneties. Do you blame him? I mean, you would totally figure that the local Police department spent their evenings recording episodes of Laguna Beach on their TiVo. What is this world coming to when you have been on such a highly regarded show like Laguna Beach, and are still bring incarcerated for breaking a law? *shakes head*

Wahler was later released on $1,000 bail.

The MTV star has had a history of run-ins with the law. This past September, he was arrested in LA for misdemeanor battery after an altercation with a tow truck driver. Three weeks earlier, he was ordered to complete five days of community service after he was arrested in New York for disorderly conduct.

Well, I guess that’s what you get for suggesting that the Police look at TMZ, and not RCG.
