A week ago Jessica Simpson and John Mayer were still walking hand in hand in New York city. The two of them started going out in August 2006. They tried to keep their relationship hidden, but the media was on top of it when they started to show up at different events together. Their relationship has had their ups and downs, but it seemed like they were a couple that could deal with all the media frenzy.
John Mayer was even liked by father Joe Simpson, who wasn’t very happy about her previous relationship/marriage with Nick Lachey. Joe Simpson was thrilled about his daughter being in love with such a great musician as Mayer.
The real reason for the split hasn’t been revealed yet, but the rumour that’s being spread is that Mayer had too much attention for Roberta, a niece of Armani at the Costume Institute Gala. I’m sure we’ll find out more about the break-up soon enough.
